Start forming your pod
November 2–6, 2026 · $37 · Founding Cohort
Registration opens Friday, October 23
You know the feeling. You're picturing a life built around shared meals, shared decisions and resources, and people who actually know you and have your back. Friends. Chosen family. Chosen clan.
But between the picture in your head and an actual address, there's a gap nobody's handed you a map for.
This challenge is for the person who's done with thinking about conscious housing in the abstract and ready to get specific.
► Maybe you're sitting on a big house with room to share and no idea how to find the right people.
► Maybe you're new to Madison and tired of living alone when that's not what you wanted.
► Maybe you've been talking about this in your mom circle for years already, and you're ready to move from “wouldn't it be nice” to an actual plan.
If this resonates with you, we're building five days together for this moment.
You'll meet others in Madison who share your aspiration, and over five days we'll chew on some hearty questions together. Because a big thing needed on this conscious path is discernment, and the willingness to trust your gut.
Knowing who's actually ready, what you're each bringing to the table, and how to tell the difference between someone who sounds aligned and someone who really is — these are basic issues of discernment.
This challenge introduces the CHE’s exclusive LEARNING, FINDING, and DOING path from today’s starting point to the moment you turn the key on your new front door.
It gives you a first taste of how doing the work in community can help you find your people and realize your dream.
You can't manifest what you haven't pictured. Today you get specific: the place, the land, the home, the people — the daily rhythm you're reaching for. By the end of the day, you'll start to envision and describe what's been a feeling until now.
Conscious living takes skill, not just good intentions. Today you take an honest look at where you're already strong and where you've got room to grow. You'll leave knowing that the gaps aren't a problem. They're something to work on with others who get it.
Today we get less solo. This is discernment day. The CHE is built on the idea that finding your people takes real vetting, not just vibes. It takes time to get to know one another, talk through the big issues, and arrive at written clarity. Rushing this step is the number one reason conscious housing efforts fail.
Here's what's working right now: a small founding pod forms first, gets lease- or financing-ready, and brings others on board around a plan that's already moving. This is the work of bringing a conscious housing project to life, and today you get a real look at what it takes.
Most people trying to build conscious housing attempt it alone, but insight and opportunity flourish in conversation and real-time connection. Today the door opens to a room that people don't usually find on their own. You'll meet others who share your dream.
You'll leave knowing you don't have to figure this out solo
Conscious housing efforts fail for one reason more than any other: people rush the people-finding, people-vetting, and clear communication parts. They fall in love with an idea before they've done the work of knowing what they want, who they're looking for, what it will take, or why they want it.
This challenge starts smaller. One prompt a day. Meaty conversation, multiple opportunities to connect live, access to new resources. The discernment you build in these five days — knowing what you want, knowing where you fit, and knowing what you're ready for — is the same discernment that makes everything after this easier.
Five daily prompts, Monday through Friday, November 2-6. Plan on 10 to 20 minutes a day.
Two live sessions with Sheri, 45 minutes each: a Monday kickoff and a Friday closing. Both recorded, so you can catch up later.
A private Challenge feed where the Madison founding cohort posts, reacts, and starts to recognize each other.
All inside the CHE app, on iOS, Android, or the web.
$37, one time. No auto-charge when the five days end.
The Challenge is your first week inside the CHE.
Wherever you fit,
Seeking to rent, upleveled
Looking to own or co-own housing near friends
Offering a property with neighbors-by-design potential
Offering an opening in an existing conscious housing community
the CHE is where conscious collective housing starts.
As a CHE Member, you’ll get support at every stage, from your first search to signing onto a shared property.
Each day you get one clear action tied to that day's theme — short video or prompt, a reflection or exercise, and a place to share it with the group. No overwhelm, no homework pile-up.
A clear next step. You'll know this move is doable, that you're not the only one wanting it, and how to start finding your pod — the small core group that gets a project rolling. Somewhere between Monday and Friday, "wouldn't it be great" turns into "here's what I do next."
No — the Challenge is built to deliver a real result on its own. At the end, if it's a fit, we'll show you what deeper membership looks like. If it's not, you keep what you built and walk away with zero further obligation.
No auto-charge. You'll get an invitation to join membership at the end, but nothing happens automatically — you decide if and when you want in.
People thinking seriously about shared or cooperative housing who haven't taken a first concrete step yet — empty-nesters, new grads, single moms, anyone tired of just talking about it.
The Challenge is a short, focused taste of the work. Membership is the ongoing structure — our monthly themes, weekly circles, and the long-term support to actually get from idea to outcome.
Plan on 10–20 minutes a day. It's designed to fit into a busy week, not take it over. The Live sessions are 45 minutes and recorded, so if you can’t join in person, you can watch or listen later.
Any connections you make are yours to keep. Direct messaging in the app is a member feature. For the Challenge, we'll make time on Friday for everyone to share how others can reach them, and a closing post will gather everyone's contact links in one place. Membership gives you the ongoing structure to keep building with them.
Registration opens right here on October 23 and closes at midnight on Sunday, November 1. Newsletter readers get the link first.
